DR. ADALBERTO VILLA
Managing Director (CEO) of Fordras S.A. in Lugano, Switzerland.
Dr. Villa joined Fordras in 1988 after working at Miles Laboratories Inc. for 17 years. He has been largely responsable for Fordras’ growth over the past decade and for the successful development of several applications of egg proteins, in particular that of Lysozyme for food and fermented beverages. He holds a degree in Organic Chemistry from the University of Pavia (Italy).

DR. DANIELE BIZZARRI
Technical Director of Fordras S.A. in Lugano, Switzerland.
Dr Bizzarri earned a degree in Biology (Summa Cum Laude) at the University of Pavia (1976) and a degree in Pharmacy at the University of Milano (1982). Responsible for R&D, QA and QC departments of internationally recognized API manufacturers, he acquired a vast experience in regulatory affairs, including FDA certification. He is a member of FIP (International Pharmaceutical Federation), the pharmaceutical enzymes international committee for standard preparation.

He joined Fordras in 1998 as Director of technical operations, being instrumental in the development of lysozyme production and its GMP certification from The Swiss Agency for Therapeutic Products and The Dutch Board of Health.

MAARTEN J.M DE GROOT
Sales & Marketing Director of Fordras S.A. in Lugano, Switzerland since September ’05, he has reinforced Fordras’ commercial management with many years experience in administration, international sales and business development, expanding several multinational companies across Europe.

With a Bachelors degree in Business & International Agriculture, he earned his Master’s in Business & Organizations at the University of Amsterdam, Netherlands (‘95). Having worked and lived in several European countries, Maarten is well versed in most western European languages.

FRANCESCA CHIOLERIO, PhD
R&D Manager of Fordras’ Laboratory in Taverne, Switzerland since June 2006, she is in charge of Ovoproducts for pharmaceutical and diagnostics, with particular emphasis and experience in Avidin. Holding a degree (cum laude) in Biology from the University of Milan, Francesca has many years of experience in Microbiology Assays (enzymes, vitamins and antibiotics), Biotechnology (in vitro and in vivo cell cultures, set up of immunoenzymatic assays), and Diagnostics (strept/Avidin Biotin detection systems, from research to production, marketing and sales).

BURNELL SHIVELY
Manager of Development for a representative office in the U.S.A., Burnell began paving the way in October 2006 with an international background of over 20 years experience in all facets of marketing and development in Europe, Asia and America. She has a Bachelor’s degree (Summa Cum Laude) from Skidmore College, NY, and is fluent in Italian, French and English.
